If you live out West where the days are really hot and the nights get very cool, succulents are a beautiful plant to showcase.

Succulents are plants that store their water in their stems, leaves and roots, which causes their fleshy appearance. Succulents have evolved in the desert and need direct sunlight. Since the temperature in the desert drops at night, they are able to handle cool nights.

Succulent Care Tips:

  1. Keep in full sun.
  2. Water infrequently — once every 10 days to two weeks.
  3. Fertilize sparingly.
  4. Succulents can handle temperature fluctuations, but don’t allow them to freeze.
