Nature-Inspired Holiday Décor

Martha’s Winterberry and Arctic collections of ornaments are inspired by nature.

With much of the garden going into a dormant phase for the next few months, it’s good to know there are still plenty of green things you can do indoors to stay connected to nature.

The amaryllis and paperwhites I forced six weeks ago are starting to burst open into a profusion of color and fragrance. These bulbs make great holiday hostess gifts.

I’ve been outdoors to trim some branches from evergreen trees such as juniper and pine, as well as some branches with berries, like Ilex verticillata, to make wreaths and garlands.

I am also looking forward to selecting a live Christmas tree to decorate this year; I’ve already chosen where it will be planted in my garden after Christmas.
