Create Colorful Herb Garden Markers for Mother’s Day

Difficulty: Beginner
Duration: 1 hour

Grow your garden with hand painted markers.

Gather the kids and take an hour to make Mom a gift she’ll treasure all summer long — easy-to-make plant markers for a vegetable garden, or, as shown here, an herb garden.

This project is super-simple:

  1. Make a list of all the herbs that are growing or will grow in the summer herb garden.
  2. Gather (if you’re lucky) or buy stones. (The smooth, oval-shaped rocks shown here are sold in craft stores.)
  3. Use paint pens to write the herb name on a stone.
  4. Seal with spray sealer.
  5. Let dry overnight.
