At the end of the season, a lot of us forget about our patio furniture. If it’s left out all year round, it could potentially suffer a lot more wear and tear than if you put it away for the winter. Before storing it, I like to sweep the surfaces first using a soft-bristle brush, then, using the same brush, scrub the furniture’s surface thoroughly with warm water and a mild dishwashing liquid. Once it’s dry, I will touch up the paint if necessary and then move it to the basement. If you don’t have room to store your patio furniture indoors, you can buy inexpensive all-weather covers.
