Purple petunias.

August can be one of the toughest months in the garden. With its blistering heat, many plants begin to wilt or cease to flower. I keep my garden looking vibrant by planting plants that relish the hot weather. There are dahlias, lantana, pelargoniums, angelonia, petunias and verbena thriving in my garden right now.
